Manitoba Businesses & Non Profit Organizations, take note - The Manitoba Government has announced $15 million in funding to help businesses in the province to advance their use of digital & technology.

The program is called the Digital Manitoba Initiative. There are 2 funding initiatives, of which you can apply for both if you see the right opportunity. The $5,000 TechUP program is designed to reimburse organizations for net new digital/technology purchases such as hardware, software licensing, professional services, consulting fees and assessments. The $25,000 PowerUP program is suitable for companies looking to digitally transform their business and operations.

Update - February 22, 2022: DMI applications have been opened back up after being paused since late 2021 due to the overwhelming popularity of the funding program.

Update - March 14, 2022: PowerUP ($25,000) program registration has opened and since closed today stating that their intake for applications has been reached. TechUP applications ($5,000) currently remains open for new registrations.

Update - March 21, 2022: Things happen fast with this program. It's popularity means that the program has filled up and it has now closed for any further applications. ourCIO is not anticipating this program to re-open anytime soon, if at all under its existing format.
